12-hour Marathon, Fire Show, Concerts, and Cinema Under the Stars for 105 years of the Founding of the NMMH
On July 3 and 4, the National Museum of Military History (NMMH) marks 105 years of its founding. Free admission to the outdoor and indoor permanent chronological exhibitions of the Museum is offered between 18.00 and 23.00 on July 3, and between 10.00 and 17.00 on July 4.
The festive marathon starts with an exceptional programme in the evening of July 3, when we also celebrate the Night of Museums European initiative. To the good mood of all who join in the celebrations of the Museum will contribute the Representative Military Brass Band of the Land Forces and the Representative Brass Band of the National Guards Unit. The unique fire show of the Divinitas club will light up the late-night darkness.
For all fans of Bulgarian cinema, there will be screening of four 1920s and 1940s Bulgarian movies, presented by the Bulgarian National Film Archive in this year’s A Season of Classic Films, organized by the Association of the European Film Archives and Cinematheques. The screenings are accompanied by live music, featuring Boyana Zhelyazkova-Zareva – violin, and Yasen Obretenov – piano.
