RULES GUIDING INTERACTIONS WITH THE PRESS
- These rules set out the policy regarding media access to the National Museum of Military History (The NMMH) grounds for public information purposes.
- Media statements and interviews by NMMH management or staff require prior sanction from the NMMH Director and are coordinated by the PEPRM Directorate.
- Coverage produced on Museum grounds that involves recording cultural valuables, or elements of cultural valuables – including entire sections of the museum’s exhibitions – is subject to a prior contract. The contract must be signed by the NMMH Director based on a written exposé detailing the objectives and context of the coverage, except for events organized by the Museum or approved promotional materials.
- Media statements and interviews by non-NMMH employees are not permitted on NMMH grounds to avoid misidentification of the respective statement as an official NMMH position.
- Political, antisocial, and discriminatory statements and actions, as well as election campaigning, are prohibited on the premises of the National Museum of Military History—a state institution administratively under the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Bulgaria. The Museum reserves the right to pursue legal action in accordance with Bulgarian laws in the event of non-compliance.
