The first museum awards were given at the National Museum of Military History

During an official ceremony at the National Museum of Military History the first annual awards of „Bulgarian Museums“ Association were presented. The event gathered museum colleagues from the entire country alongside with the deputy minister of culture Mrs. Amelia Gesheva. She bestowed the award „Museum of the Year“ to the Regional Museum of Natural History – Plovdiv. At the category „Events and audience development“ the Open Air Ethnographic Museum „Etar“ was awarded for the XIV International Fair of Traditional Crafts. With a „Diploma for contribution to the development of museums “ was honored the director of the Numismatic Museum – Ruse – prof. Dimitar Draganov.
