For the first time ever, the exhibition presents Swiss printed textiles on Bulgarian historical themes, produced by various print houses from the Canton of Glarus, Switzerland. These depict chiefly iconic events and figures from Bulgarian history. The most popular textiles feature themes from the Russo-Turkish War of 1877–1878. After the Liberation, the output of the print houses entered the markets of the Principality Bulgaria through the newly established in Sofia and Varna agencies.
