The educational programme “The Establishment of the Bulgarian State” builds upon knowledge from school with a journey back in time, that provokes reflection and discussion on the relations between the Bulgarians of Khan Asparuh and the Slavs that led to the establishment of the Bulgarian state.
During the museum tour participants can see and touch the weapons used by the Bulgarians – to feel their weight, flexibility and functionality.
In the game module students based on historical facts discuss in teams (Slavs and Bulgars) in a role-playing game what strategic to apply to the opposing team in order to achieve the establishment of the Bulgarian state.
