July 14th, Tuesday, at 11.00, at the National Museum of Military History at 92, Cherkovna Str., Sofia, the Minister of Defence Krasimir Karakachanov will open the Museum’s newest exhibition “The Army in Times of Change”. The event is realised on the occasion of the 141st anniversary of the establishment of the Ministry of Defence and the 104th anniversary of the foundation of the NMMH.

On July 4th, Saturday, when the National Museum of Military History (NMMH) celebrates the 104th anniversary of its establishment, the indoor exhibition galleries re-open. Access is during the usual visiting hours, Wednesday through Sunday, 10 through 18, and ticket sales, with unchanged prices, end at 17.

From November 14, the date of the first massive bombing of Sofia during World War II, to April 17, 2020, the date of the last one, the immersive space “The Scars of War: The Lost Architectural Heritage of Sofia” will be opened for visit.

On August 29, Thursday, at 6:00 pm, at the National Museum of Military History (92, Cherkovna Street, Sofia) opens the documentary exhibition “Struggle and Suffering. Polish Citizens during WWII”. The project is developed by the Museum of the Second World War in Gdansk, Poland.

Dear visitors, On the occasion of the anniversary of the execution of our national hero, Vasil Levski, the museum will offer extra visiting days on February 18 and 19, (Monday and Tuesday), 10:00 to 18:00. We will be closed on February 15th and 20th.

Andrey Botsev the exhibition „The Flags of the Bulgarian Volunteers“, dedicated to the 140-th anniversary of the Liberation, was officially inaugurated. It displays the five flags that represent the centennial Bulgarian strive for freedom.
